Dr. Ana Gouvea is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, License# MH 17728) with a Ph.D. in Linguistics.​ She is also a  Certified Clinical TeleMental Health Provider (CTMH).​


Other Certifications: Trauma treatment, Mindfulness for treating stress/anxiety (Mindfulness Based Stress  Reduction, MBSR) and for treating children and teens

I first participated in Dr. Ana Gouvea’s 8-week Mindfulness for Anxiety and Stress program nearly a year ago. The program provided me with a variety of tools to not only learn to practice mindfulness, but also change some of my habits to adopt a more mindful way of living on a daily basis. In only 8 weeks, I experienced significant reduction in my anxiety levels, as well as lower levels of work stress.
